In the last few days, there’s been a lot of chatter about a fifth grade girl joining the competitive world of Splatoon 2.

The fifth grade girl, called Honoka, joined a competitive eSports team called “Beauties of Nature Star Team”, which is made up of female gamers.

Many Splatoon 2 gamers congratulated Honoka for making it to the team, with some looking forward to more elementary school children joining the world of eSports. Given that most in the world of eSports are in their 20s, it surely is surprising to see someone this young. We wish Honoka all the best!
