In the leadup to the release of Shin Megami Tensei V on Switch later this year, Atlus has begun uploading a series of “Daily Demon” introduction videos for the various demons players will be able to encounter in the game.

So far, five volumes have been uploaded to Atlus’ official Japanese Youtube channel. You can check them out below, along with English translations posted by Zeruel4891 in the comments.

Genma Amanozako (CV: Naomi Ohzora): A Japanese goddess believed to be the origin of tengu and amanojaku. It is said that she was born when Susano-o vomited built-up ferocious spirit from his body. When enraged, she can break any weapon, no matter how sharp, with her fangs.

Genma Fionn mac Cumhaill: A hero of Celtic myth. Leader of the Fianna. While training under a druid priest, he was ordered to cook the Salmon of Knowledge and gained wisdom after licking his thumb which was covered in the salmon’s fat.

Divine Angel: Among God’s servants, they are the closest in nature to humans. They watch over individuals and warn those who stray from the path.

Brute Daemon: A lesser demon that hasn’t received a name. Low ranking demons like this are given the generic term “Daemon.” It is also the basis of the word “demon,” beings found in Christianity.

Shin Megami Tensei V launches November 11th 2021 for Switch in Japan and November 12th 2021 worldwide.
