Villager Supplies has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the 3-UP, a premium case specifically designed for the Nintendo Switch. Created by a team of gamers with extensive background in product design and fashion, the 3-UP was envisioned when the founder grew tired of toting her console in a Hello Kitty case.
“I got the Switch as soon as it came out. I was playing on my way to work every day and realized I needed a tough, protective case,” says Villager Supplies founder Raquel Sol. “After scouring the Internet I couldn’t find anything that suited my style. I discovered a real lack of quality gear for gamers so we decided to create a solution ourselves.”
Incorporating feedback from the gaming community, the Villager team created the 3-UP. A chic solution that looks great and fits into any scenario, whether you’re off to work, meeting up with friends, or heading across the globe, the case also functions for everyday carry and offers full protection for your Switch. A range of carry modes accommodates cross body or portrait modes, and the strap can be swapped for a lanyard or removed entirely. The interior compartments include organization for 10 game cartridges, cables and controllers as well as space for your phone, keys and other daily necessities. The 3-UP is also reinforced with Poron® XRD® Technology, protecting for your console from extreme impact.
“There is a perception that gamers are kids, but a 2017 report from the Entertainment Software Association found the average age of gamers is now 35,” continues Sol. “It’s time we had options that fit our adult lifestyles.”
