Mostly considered a gimmick, the Philips Hue Ambilight TV was suppose to help extend the immersiveness of your TV by shinning LED lights around it. Still the use case was pretty much limited as most TV shows or games do not involve high speed colour flashes… until the LEDs met Thumper.
