Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected Epilogue Will Take Around 10-12 Hours To Complete

Wondering how much extra story you’ll get with the upcoming Future Connected epilogue in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition? Well, it won’t be a drop in the bucket, that’s for sure!

During an interview with Weekly Famitsu, the game’s director Tetsuya Takahashi revealed that the entire extra story will take players around 10-12 hours to complete, but a total of around 20 hours if one tackles all of its side content as well. Takahashi also shared that it would have been possible for his team to make the story longer and into paid DLC – but that would have ultimately affected development of other titles at Monolith Soft.

In addition to this, here are other tidbits that Takahashi shared (translation by Gematsu):

  • Monolith Soft’s First Production staff was divided into three sections: one section to work on Xenoblade: Definitive Edition, one to work on a new title, and one to work on both.
  • Since this is a remaster, Monolith Soft was not able to re-record all the music with an orchestra. Instead, they improved the quality and rearranged it.
  • Data compression is better mitigated and sound quality more enhanced compared to Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be hitting launching on 29 May 2020. We’ll report back as we hear more.
