Dr. Write

There are many different characters living on the island in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Take Dr. Write, for example. Writing letters is his hobby, but even though he supposedly writes very nice ones, it seems he never gets a single reply. Poor fellow…

CiaoCiao

This darling pet of Madam MeowMeow is CiaoCiao in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Folks say CiaoCiao loves fancy things. She prides herself on being a spunky young lady, but sometimes it’s hard to tell her apart from the rest.

Sale

This is Sale from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. He lives on the Toronbo Shores and enjoys collecting canned food. He looks like more of a big eater, but not necessarily in the way you’d expect from a crocodile.

Richard

Meet Richard in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. He lives with a bunch of frogs for some reason…Rumor is he used to be a prince.

Koholint Islanders and Animals

Many islanders and animals live in Mabe village. Since you have a sword, be wary where you hit it! Don’t annoy the villagers and animals, especially the Cuccos!

Stalfos

There are many monsters in the dungeons of Koholint. For example, this one is called “Stalfoss”. It looks like a skeleton but it is light, and it will avoid Link’s techniques by jumping. It’s a tough enemy to defeat.

Goomba

This is a Goomba. It will attack by moving sideways. There’s this story, rumor has it that it is vulnerable to trampling from above. Does anyone know that? Is it famous?

Fishing

Adventuring is fine, but how about try fishing once in awhile? Take a break for a change. You might even hook some useful items – like a bottle! Maybe you can use it for something, why not take it with you?

Mysterious Forest

This is the Mysterious Forest in the western part of the island in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening! Watch out for wild moblins! They carry swords or spears, you can defend yourself with your shield.
