Rumor: Prominent Leaker Claims Nintendo Project Codenamed “U-King-O” In The Works
A prominent leaker has shared the codename of another project in the works at Nintendo, which has sparked speculation about the recently confirmed Switch successor.
The leaker in question is Midori, who is well-known for leaking SEGA-related news before it drops. Their latest claim is that a project codenamed “U-King-O” is being worked on at Nintendo. Similar to their previous codename claim however, they did not share any further details about what this project could be.
There is a project at Nintendo with the codename U-King-O
It might be related to the rumors of the next Nintendo console codename.

In a series of replies, user @Skipp93653 speculated that the codename is for a port of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild for the Switch successor. This is because Breath Of The Wild‘s codename is “U-King”, and Nintendo tends to codename ports by adding an additional letter at the end. Skippy further speculates that the Switch successor’s official name or codename most likely starts with the letter “O”, if Nintendo is following previous codenaming trends.
This is an enhanced version of Breath of the Wild. Breath of the Wild's codename is U-King. For Switch 1 ports, Nintendo likes to add on the suffix -S to a game's codename, but this one has a -O suffix which they have never used before. I think this is for the successor.

Yep, the Captain Toad port is the perfect example of this. It was 'Kinopio' on Wii U, 'Kinopio-S' on Switch, and 'Kinopio-C' on 3DS.
