Ever since the console’s launch, Switch owners have been dealing with the problem of Joy-Con drift, which has led to a number of complaints and lawsuits filed against Nintendo.

As shared by Stephen Totilo on social media, two long-term class action lawsuits have recently been dismissed in the US. Dismissal means that the families have agreed to close the lawsuits with no chance to reopen. These two cases in particular had been ongoing for a long time, with Diaz vs. Nintendo running for five years since 2019, and Carbajal vs. Nintendo running for four years since 2020.

Despite the dismissal, Joy-Con drift is a real problem faced by Nintendo’s customers, and one would hope that the next iterations planned for the Switch’s successor won’t face similar issues. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
