Some Animal Crossing amiibo Cards Now Reselling For Even More Than Animal Crossing: New Horizons In The West
As many fans will know, scanning amiibo cards in Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows one to invite specific villagers to live on their island. Of course, this has made cards of certain villagers very sought-after…and of course, very expensive to obtain.
A quick glance at western e-commerce sites like ebay will turn up some astronomical prices for individual amiibo cards nowadays – with fan-favorite characters like Lucky or Marshal selling for more than $70 USD on their own! This actually exceeds the regular retail price of Animal Crossing: New Horizons itself – or the cost of most Nintendo-published Switch games in general!

We’ve seen this price trend going on in Japan already, and it looks like the situation might not alleviate anytime soon. Hopefully, more restocks of the cards will eventually arrive in the future.
