Square Enix has announced a special racer coming to Chocobo GP as part of its Season Pass system.

Final Fantasy VII‘s Cloud Strife will be available as a reward for participating in Chocobo GP‘s first Season Pass, which is a special event that allows players to earn various rewards in Chocobo GP mode. At the time of this writing, it is not known if the Season Pass will cost money.

Season events are held every few months in #ChocoboGP!

Aside from Cloud, the Japanese Chocobo GP Twitter account also showed off Final Fantasy VIII‘s protagonist Squall Leonhart racing with Cloud, possibly hinting that he will also be added to the game under this system.
