Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Devs Conducting “Technical Investigation” For Switch Version
Back in 2020, the key creators of the Suikoden series successfully kickstarted Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, an ambitious RPG which uses 2D sprites in a 3D world that would feature 100 unique playable heroes.
At the time, the developers said that the game would be targeting “Nintendo’s next console” instead of the Switch out of concerns that the game would be too intense for the hybrid console. Recently however, in an FAQ regarding the newly released prequel game Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, the team confirmed that they were now conducting a “technical investigation” into a possible Switch version of Hundred Heroes, which would connect to the Switch version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising like all the other versions of the prequel on other ocnsoles.
While the release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has not been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, we are currently undergoing a technical investigation into development for a Switch version of the game.
That said, if the Switch version eventually does not come to pass, the developers confirmed players who purchase the currently available Switch version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will still be able to connect it to Hundred Heroes on whatever Nintendo console it launches on in the future.
If you purchase Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising for the Nintendo Switch, then you will be able to enjoy the crossover content in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on any Nintendo console version confirmed in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
