Pokemon Anime Director Says “We May See Ash Again” In The Future
Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company announced that Ash would be stepping down as the main character of the Pokemon Anime series after 25 years in the role.
In an interview published by Japanese magazine Otomedia, Pokemon anime director Kunihiko Yuyama discussed Ash’s departure from the series. Aside from sharing tidbits about the including the “Far Off Blue Sky” anime special and “Aim To Be A Pokemon Master” limited series, Yuyama also hinted that these might not be the last time we see Ash in the anime, stating that “we’ll see Ash again somewhere in the future.”.

– They wanted to change up the EDs more than they ended up doing
– He teases that "that Pokémon everyone wants to see" will show up at the series' climax pic.twitter.com/h8LmNZstY2— Dogasu (@DogasusBackpack) February 21, 2023
