Guide: How To Obtain All New Pokemon In Pokemon Scarlet/Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC
Earlier today, The Indigo Disk DLC was released for Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, adding some brand new Pokemon to the game for players to collect.
Below you will find a quick explanation for where to find all of the brand new Pokemon that were added to the game.
Read on past the Spoiler Warning for the full details:
Archaludon
Archaludon is a new evolution for the Gen VIII Pokemon Duraludon, which can be found in the Indigo Disk’s Terrarium in the Polar Biome. In order to evolve Duraludon into Archaludon, players will need to obtain a new evolution item called the Metal Alloy.
This item can either be purchased from the Blueberry Academy’s school store for 300 BP, or by getting a free one from the Chargestone Cavern. It is located at the “top” of the cave, next to a Tera Porygon.
Hydrapplin
Hydrapplin is the rumored evolution for the new Teal Mask Pokemon Dipplin, itself a new evolution of the Gen VIII Pokemon Applin. Applin and Dipplin cannot be found in the Indigo Disk’s Terrarium, and must be brought over from the Teal Mask. Applin evolves into Dipplin using Syrupy Apples, which can be purchased from a small shack in the Southeast Area of Mossfell Confluence.
In order to subsequently evolve your Dipplin into a Hydrapplin, it must level up while knowing the new move Dragon Cheer. Dragon Cheer is a TM that can be unlocked by defeating the Blueberry Academy Elite Four Member Drayden, who can be challenged in the Polar Biome after progressing far enough in the DLC’s story.
Terapagos
Terapagos is the main Legendary Pokemon of the DLC. After going through the game’s story, players will return to Area Zero to challenge Terapagos in a previously inaccessible part of the area. Defeat Terapagos, and the player will get the opportunity to capture it.
Raging Bolt, Iron Crown, Gouging Fire, and Iron Boulder
These four are new Paradox Legendary Pokemon introduced in the Indigo Disk. They can be encountered as part of a questline involving Perrin, the photographer from the Teal Mask DLC, who returns in the Indigo Disk.
Speak with Perrin at the entrace of the Terrarium to start the sidequest, which will require you to complete your Blueberry Academy Pokedex. Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire are exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, while Iron Crown and Iron Boulder are exclusive to Pokemon Violet.
Pecharunt
Pecharunt is a mysterious new Pokemon that was discovered in the game’s data. This Pokemon is currently not obtainable in the game through normal means.
It is speculated that it may be released as part of a future event, tied to a special item that is also hidden in the game data. We will be sure to report back on this Pokemon when we hear more.
