Unicorn Overlord Tops Japanese Switch Charts On Opening Weekend

Famitsu has published the latest Japanese videogame sales figures for March 4th to March 10th 2024.

According to Famitsu‘s data, the Switch version of Vanillaware’s tactical fantasy RPG Unicorn Overlord was the highest selling game of the week, charting at close to 50,000 units sold.

The game has proven to be a surprise hit for publisher ATLUS, who issued a statement apologizing for physical copies running out of stock in the country. Famitsu’s charts only account for physical sales data, so its likely the title’s actual sales numbers are much higher.
