Nintendo Requests Switch Online New Feature Playtesters Keep Content A Secret

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced a closed playtest for a new feature for the Switch Online, open only to a few lucky Expansion Pack subscribers who signed up.

Barely a day after the announcement, all 10,000 slots for the global playtesters have been filled up, with the Japan playtesters yet to be selected via lottery. However, Nintendo has still remained silent on what exactly this playtest is for, and it seems that they might not intend to do so anytime soon.

As shared by Oatmealdome, the terms and condition for the playtest asks that participants “do not discuss or disclose content” from the playtest or associated software, suggesting that Nintendo wishes to keep the whole thing a secret to non-participants. They are also not allowed to share or pass their code to anyone else after being selected.

That said, its likely that one out of the many participants of the trial will leak the content, regardless of Nintendo’s request. Stay tuned for more news as it comes.
