Industry Analyst Believes Switch 2 Leaks May Prompt Nintendo Reveal It Earlier

For the past few weeks, numerous leaked mockups of the Switch’s successor have appeared online ahead of Nintendo’s official reveal, which is set to happen sometime before March 2025.

Speaking to Eurogamer, industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto speculates that these leaks may push Nintendo to make the full announcement earlier than they initially planned. He suggested that Nintendo is “aware” and “not happy” about the leaks, even if not all of them are accurate.

“Nintendo will not have much time in January, so a potential announcement early in the month could make sense. You can bet that Nintendo is aware of all the leaks and not happy about them, even if some of them will turn out to be made up. It is actually getting so bad with those leaks that they might cause Nintendo to release information earlier than planned.”

Toto’s comments echo the prevailing sentiment among the community that Nintendo now intends to reveal the Switch’s successor in Early January. We will be sure to report back with more as it comes.
