Cumulative sales for the Senran Kagura franchise have crossed 1.65 million copies worldwide.

The number is derived from every single Senran Kagura title that launched across all platforms in the span of five years. The Nintendo 3DS saw the release of 3 titles – Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, Senran Kagura Burst, and Senran Kagura: Skirting Shadows.

Series Producer Kenichiro Takaki mentioned at the beginning they (Marvelous) said it would be amazing if the game sold 30,000 copies, but the initial projection has been broken by a staggering amount of 1.65 million copies in just 5 years.

Hopefully the franchise would sell millions more in years to come, since Takaki wouldn’t mind “extra pocket money”!
