A few weeks ago, hackers demonstrated the ability to use Octolings in Splatoon 2 online, even though the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion isn’t out yet.

It seems Nintendo has take notice and started banning players who used Octolings in online gameplay. They have taken a very serious stance against cheating as banned users aren’t allowed to play Splatoon 2 forever.
