Following the reveal of the new Pokemon Anime projects coming up in 2023, The Pokemon Company has made a shocking confirmation about the direction of the series moving forward.

In an announcement posted by the global Pokemon Twitter Account, it was confirmed that the upcoming special anime series “Aim To Be A Pokemon Master” will be the final chapter of Ash and Pikachu’s story, putting an end to their 25 year long adventure as the main characters of the anime. The new series set to debut in 2023 will follow brand new characters, although it is unknown whether Ash and Pikachu might make cameo appearances.
