Nintendo has announced two big pieces of news for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

First, a free update is coming on March 20, 2020. It will add an easter event and introduce more NPCs in the game.

Next, we have learned that a save data backup service, separate from Nintendo Switch Online’s Save Data Cloud Backup, is in the works. This service will allow players to backup their save data and restore them if their system gets damaged. How the service works and its release date will be announced in the future.
