Animal Crossing: New Horizons Receives More Details About Visiting Friends
Earlier today, during the Animal Crossing: New Horizons direct, the FAQ section explained a bit more about how visiting friends on other islands will work.
Although Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes local multiplayer, players also have the option of visiting their friends on other islands. The latest direct explains how you can invite friends to your island, as well as some additional features in place, likely to prevent griefing.
Check out a brief summary below:
- You can invite anyone to your island, even if they are not on your friends list using a one-time use Dodo Code
- Online features can be restricted using the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls App
- Players who are visiting other islands will not be allowed to use tools which affect the environment, such as axes and shovels
- In order to use axes and shovels on another person’s island, both players must be registered as “Best Friends” using the Nintendo Switch Online app.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches on March 20, 2020 for Switch.
