During the Game Awards 2022, Nintendo and Platinum games announced a new Bayonetta spin-off game for Switch.

The game is called Bayonetta Origins: Cereza And The Lost Demon, and is a prequel to the main series following Cereza and her first demon Cheshire, before she became the Umbra Witch. It is planned to launch on March 17th 2023 for Switch.
