Capcom Retro Station Officially Revealed, Will Also Launch In Other Regions Outside Japan
Earlier this year, mysterious retail listings unveiled the existence of a “Capcom Retro Arcade” – which was touting 10 retro games from the Mega Man and Street Fighter series. Details on this strange mini-console were sparse at the time, but we’ve finally learnt some new information about it!
Officially titled the Capcom Retro Station – the mini-console will feature an 8-inch 4:3 LCD Display that runs at 1024×768, built-in 10W super bass speakers, and be able to output to a television screen via a HDMI connection. A USB port will also allow owners to attach an additional controller for two-player versus gameplay. It will cost 21,780 Yen and launch for Japan in March 2021.
All this information comes courtesy of an official website by TRON – who are developing the mini-console with Capcom. The website also confirms that “other regions” outside of Japan will also be getting the Capcom Retro Station (see below).
We’ll report back as we hear more about the Capcom Retro Station in the future. Stay tuned!
