Crimson Desert Dev Exploring Possibility Of Switch 2 Port

Last week, Pearl Abyss released Crimson Desert, a highly anticipated open-world action adventure game which made headlines for its divisive gameplay and technical issues on other platforms.

Despite having a mountain of challenges to overcome, the developers are still interested in bringing the game to another console: The Switch 2. Speaking to Yonhap News Agency, Pearl Abyss CEO Heo Jin-young said they were interested in a Switch 2 port of the game, although it would come with some compromises.

“There are still parts we need to compromise on because the Switch’s specifications are lower compared to other consoles, but internally we’ve started to get interested and have begun research and development (R&D).”

Although an admirable effort, his words do not quite inspire confidence given that the game still has trouble running on other, self-admittedly more powerful systems. We will be sure to report back with more updates as they come.
