Nintendo has announced the next online tournament starting December 25th for Smash Ultimate.

This time, the tournament revolves around characters who have a darkness theme, including Bayonetta, Meta Knight, the newly added Sephiroth, and more. The more battles won, the better the spirit rewards. It will run for three days starting this Friday.
