Dragon Quest XI S Completely Dominates Japanese Sales Charts In Its First Week
Famitsu has published the video game sales rankings for Japan from the period of September 23 to September 29, 2019.
Unsurprisingly, Dragon Quest XI S for Switch completely dominated the market upon its debut last week, taking first place on the bestsellers charts. The game sold over 300,000 copies – which dwarfed Code Vein for the PS4 by almost 5 times. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening also stood its ground at fourth place, and still managed to move 45,378 units.
Similarly, Nintendo Switch hardware sales continued like wildfire, with 115,732 regular Switch consoles and 80,757 Switch Lite consoles moving off store shelves. Overall, it looks like Nintendo and Square Enix had a fantastic week!
