EA Sports FC 24 Crosses 11.3 Million Players Worldwide, Up From Over FIFA 23

A few weeks back, Electronic Arts released EA Sports FC 24, their first entry into their rebranded soccer simulation game series for Switch and other platforms.

In a recent press release, the publisher revealed that the game hit 11.3 million players worldwide in it’s first week across all platforms. This is a pretty impressive milestone, achieved despite losing the brand recognition from the FIFA license. Even more surprising is that this figure marks a 20% year over year increase in players from FIFA 23, as  President of EA SPORTS Cam Weber explains:

“We’re thrilled to have so many fans jumping into The World’s Game in both EA SPORTS FC 24 and FC Mobile in just the first few days since launch, in addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20% year over year, showing the excitement of football fans everywhere to join the Club. We are building the world’s biggest football community through EA SPORTS FC, and we’re just getting started.”

It will be interesting to see if EA Sports FC can carry on this momentum in the years to come, presumably following the usual yearly release schedule. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
