Europe: In-Game Purchases Warning To Be Printed On Game Boxes

PEGI, the European video game ratings board, has announced an “In-Game Purchases” logo that is expected to appear on game boxes starting later this year.

The new logo will appear on the boxes of games that support micro-transactions – aka loot boxes, in game currency, and downloadable content. PEGI says the introduction of the In-Game Purchases logo on these boxes will help parents make an informed choice.
