McDonald’s Japan has posted a teaser for their upcoming collaboration with The Pokemon Company.

From August 8, 2025, customers can receive a random Pokemon toy with every Happy Meal purchase. In addition, from August 9 to August 11, customers can also get a free original Pokemon TCG featuring a McDonald’s exclusive Pikachu illustration, as well as another random McDonald’s exclusive card. There are five exclusive cards to collect, while stocks last.

Currently, it seems that this promotion is exclusive to Japan, but it may make its way to other countries in the future.
