Fan Mods LCD Screen And Emulator Into LEGO Game Boy
Earlier this month, Nintendo and LEGO released the LEGO Game Boy, a buildable rendition of the iconic handheld console.
While the actual LEGO Game Boy cannot be used to play any games, oder/modder Sebastian Staacks has brought it one step closer by outfitting it with an LCD Screen. As seen in his video below, Staacks’ modified his LEGO Game Boy with a tiny screen and a USB cable. This allows the LEGO Game Boy to either stream footage from an actual Game Boy or from an emulator, giving it the appearance of really running the games.
With some additional modification, Staacks believes that it should be possible to wire the LEGO Game Boy’s buttons and make it a fully independent running LEGO console. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
