Epic Games has announced they are bringing Fortnite‘s original Save The World mode to Switch 2.

Save The World was Fortnite‘s original game mode before its pivot to becoming a Battle Royale, and remained available as a paid experience. It will release on Switch 2 on April 16th 2026, and become free to play on all platforms on the same date. However, it will seemingly not be available for the original Switch, with no reason being provided a the time of this writing.
