Game Freak, Atlus, Marvelous & Other Publishers Promise More Surprises And Announcements In 2019
It looks like 2019 could be a pretty exciting year for gamers everywhere.
In the final Famitsu issue of 2018, Game Freak director Shigeru Omori commented on the year ahead for his company. Namely, he promised that Game Freak is looking to ‘surprise’ gamers everywhere!
“In 2019, Game Freak will continue to push in order not to lose to last year…I’d like to have a year in which we’ll surprise everyone!”
It is not clear if Omori is referring to the 2019 Pokemon RPG, however.
Meanwhile, other companies also submitted their New Year hopes and vision to Famitsu – with many of them excited to reveal their own surprises in 2019. Check out what each of them had to say below:
Atlus: Starting with Catherine: Full Body, we’re also steadily preparing unannounced new title(s). Please look forward to updates on Shin Megami Tensei V and other titles as well.
Kadokawa Games: Many projects are underway, including Root Letter 2 and Project Stella.
Konami: We’re planning to develop products and services that celebrate our 50th anniversary.
Marvelous: Please look forward to a new title in a certain series that will soon be announced.
Spike Chunsoft: We’re preparing plenty titles that might surprise you.
Hopefully some of these teases are Switch-related projects. We’ll report more in 2019, when we hear back from these companies.
