Guide: Tips To Complete Pokemon Scarlet/Violet’s Mightiest Mark Iron Bundle Tera Raid

Over the course of this weekend, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet players will be challenging a 7 Star Tera Raid which features an Ice Tera Type Iron Bundle with the Mightiest Mark.

Aside from being able to capture an Iron Bundle with a rare mark, the 7 Star Tera Raid gives out a great deal of useful rewards such as Vitamins, Rare Candies, and Ability Patches. This makes being able to complete the raid consistently extremely useful. Below you will find some quick tips and tricks for beating this Raid Battle, as discovered and shared by many members of the Pokemon community.

How To Unlock 7-Star Raids

In order to even participate in this raid battle, players will need to progress far enough in the game to qualify for 7-Star raids. This essentially means meeting the following requirements:

  • Have completed the story and seen the end credits
  • Have completed all Gym Rematches and the Academy Ace Tournament
  • Have completed 10 or more raids rated 4* and above.

Once you have completed these steps, the 7-Star Raid will appear both in your overworld as well as on the Tera Raid board.

Iron Bundle ’s Ability and Moves

  • The Tera Raid Iron Bundle has an Ice Tera-Type, meaning that it does more damage with its Water and Ice moves.
  • As an Ice Tera-Type, it is weak to Steel, Fighting, Rock, and Fire type attacks.
  • Iron Bundle’s Ability is Quark Drive, which boosts its highest stat under Electric Terrain.
  • Iron Bundle ’s notable moves include the following:
    • Freeze-Dry ~ An Ice-Type special attack which deals supereffective damage to Water-Types.
    • Blizzard ~ An Ice-Type special attack that hits all opponents, with a chance to freeze them.
    • Chilling Water ~ A Water-Type special attack which also reduces the opponent’s Attack stat.
    • Hydro Pump ~ A Water-Type special attack which deals high damage, but has low accuracy.
    • Snowscape ~  Sets up snowy weather, which makes Blizzard hit with 100% accuracy while in effect.
    • Aurora Veil ~ Sets up barriers that reduce damage taken from special and physical attacks, but only works in snowy weather.
    • Electric Terrain ~ Sets up Electric Terrain, which in this raid, will activate Iron Bundle’s Quark Drive to boost its Sp.Attack.
  • Iron Bundle’s Battle Behaviour
    • 99% Time Remaining ~ Iron Bundle uses Snowscape to set up snowy weather
    • 98% Time Remaining ~ Iron Bundle uses Aurora Veil, to reduce damage done to itself
    • 80% Time Remaining / 75% HP Remaining~ Iron Bundle sets up its Tera Shield
    • 75% HP Remaining ~ Iron Bundle resets the player’s stats and sets up Electric Terrain
    • 45% HP Remaining ~ Iron Bundle resets its own stats and clears status effects
    • 50% Time Remaining ~ Iron Bundle uses Snowscape again.

General Recommendations

  • Avoid using Pokemon with a weakness to Water or Ice moves. Fainting in battle reduces the timer, and if it reaches zero before Iron Bundle is defeated, everyone will fail the raid battle.
  • Iron Bundle also has Freeze-Dry, which is supereffective against Water-Types, so avoid bringing Water-Type Pokemon as well.
  • Use Level 100 Pokemon to maximize your chance of successfully completing the raid.
  • Use Vitamins to maximize your Pokemon’s key stats to increase your chance of successfully completing the Raid.
  • Use Cheers when necessary
    • Go For It! ~ Boosts Attacking stats.
    • Heal Up! ~ Heals HP and cures Status conditions.
  • Use moves which reduce Iron Bundle ’s stats
    • Reduce Def or Sp.Def to take it down faster.
    • Reduce Sp.Atk to prevent it from fainting your Pokemon.
  • Use Pokemon with a Steel or Fighting Tera-Type to take down its Tera Shield.
