Guide: Where To Find Pokemon Scarlet/Violet’s New Special Pokemon

Briefly teased at the end of the game’s final trailer, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet introduce a new classification of Pokemon unlike anything that has been featured in previous games.

The contents of this post could constitute major spoilers for the game, so read on only if you are ok with being spoiled or have already reached the point in the game where these Pokemon appear.

Paradox Pokemon are a new subset of Pokemon similar to the Ultra Beasts. They are brand new Pokemon which bear eerie resemblance to existing Pokemon, but have slightly altered appearances, types and stats. Each version of the games has a different set of Paradox Pokemon.

While the revealed Paradox Pokemon Great Tusk and Iron Treads can be encountered by playing through the Path Of Legends story, the rest of the Paradox Pokemon can only be found in a place called The Great Crater Of Paldea, and will only start spawning after the player sees the game’s end credits. Players can catch as many Paradox Pokemon as they want once they are unlocked, although some are harder to find than others.

Below you will find a list of the available Paradox Pokemon, as well as some specifics about where they spawn:
