Inti Creates has announced Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC.

The title is a collection of Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX and Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2, including all previously released DLC, as well as new modes and balance adjustments. It will release on July 9th 2026.

The collection will also have a physical release in Japan, including a Standard Edition with just a copy of the game, as well as a Limited Edition that includes an A4-size “Official Complete Works” art book, and a four-disc “Complete Soundtrack”. An A4-size clear file is also added as a pre-order bonus for both editions.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection is a collection of two traditional 2D action platformers, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX (2019) and Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 (2022), together in one release, complete with all downloadable content.

New to the Dual Collection, the “Endless Battle” mode will allow players to take on a never-ending challenge. Configure the settings to your liking before facing off against an endless onslaught of random bosses.

Each title also receives some balance update to upgrade the gameplay to be sharper and more accessible than ever, for new and old players alike.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX brings an unprecedented level of speed to the stylish 2D action of the Gunvolt series.

Alongside the addition of Endless Battle mode, Luminous Avenger iX’s Darkness Trigger “berserk” mode has also been powered up.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 takes the original speedy and stylish 2D action gameplay to the next level as Copen rips through enemies with his new “Break-Shift” form. His new destructive capabilities make the high-speed action more satisfying than ever!

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 receives its own Endless Battle mode, plus a new “Spike Smash” system, powering up Copen’s main weapon, the Razor Wheel.
