Happy 8th Anniversary To Fire Emblem Awakening!
Today’s marks eight years since the release of Fire Emblem Awakening for the 3DS, the entry that could have the last one in the series.
Fire Emblem Awakening first released on this day in 2012. It was designed as potentially the last ever Fire Emblem title, but surprise runaway success gave the series a new lease of life. pic.twitter.com/stcyCfRvLJ

RPG Site on Twitter commemorated the anniversary of Fire Emblem Awakening on Twitter today as the game’s success saved the franchise eight years ago. Nintendo originally shared that the company would have stopped working on more Fire Emblem games if the sales had stayed below 250,000 units.
Since then, we’ve seen several mainline entries such as Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Fire Emblem Three Houses for the Switch.
