Last week, fans were stunned when Hollow Knight: Silksong made an appearance at the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, confirming that the game would release in 2025 for the new console.

For owners of the original Switch, fans can rest assured that they won’t be left out. Matthew Griffin, marketing head at developer Team Cherry, confirmed that the game would come to both the Switch 1 and Switch 2 when it eventually releases.

Just to clarify…

Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to both Nintendo Switch AND the Nintendo Switch 2.
