Japanese Rating Board CERO To Reopen On May 7
CERO, the agency responsible for rating video games releasing in Japan, has announced it will resume business operations on May 7, 2020.
Due to the state of emergency amid the coronavirus outbreak, CERO was forced to close from April 8 to May 6, 2020. Although the Japanese government announced today that the state of emergency has been extended till May 31, CERO was able to announce its reopening as the staff working there will use telework to communicate with each other and get age ratings done.
That said, business isn’t as usual, as CERO employees will work from 10am to 4pm which are shortened working hours. All this from the comfort of their home, so you don’t have to worry about them.
