Knockout City Shutting Down On June 6th 2023

Valen Studios has announced they will be shutting down their free-to-play “dodgebrawl” game Knockout City.

The news comes a little close to two years after the game’s launch back in February 2021, and a little under a year after it went free-to-play. According to a lengthy message on the official website, this decision comes down to the developers wishing to continue innovating and move on to “what comes next in the Knockout City universe”. Season 9 will be the final season of the game, starting on February 28th 2023 and running for 12 weeks. This will also be the date the game stops accepting in-game transactions.

After this, the game will be shut down for real on June 6th 2023. All servers will go offline, and the game will no longer be playable on Switch. For PC players, Valen is planning to release a free “Private Hosted Server” edition of the game which will allow it to live on, at least on one platform.
