The lines to buy a Nintendo Switch in Japan have become much worse
Earlier this month we reported how long the lines were for Japanese customers to purchase a Nintendo Switch. There was even an official statement from Nintendo apologizing to everyone affected by the shortages. But now things have been taken to another level.
While lines earlier this month were in the hundreds, the latest replenishment for Nintendo Switch have attracted nearly a thousand people at one single retailer. And here’s the craziest thing – not everyone is guaranteed a set. Those in line have to get a raffle ticket and wait till noon to find out whether they have won a chance to buy a Switch.
With the situation nearly reaching a breaking point, we really hope Nintendo is able to ease the shortages next month when Splatoon 2 arrives in Japan.
