Masuda Shares End Of Year Message, Fans Speculate It Hints At Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Remakes
Recently, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda shared a message on Twitter to commemorate the end of 2020, which has sparked a flurry of speculation from Pokemon fans.
In the Tweet, Masuda shares some of his thoughts about the past year along with some well-wishes and thanks to fans. The post is accompanied by an image of a few Psyduck plushies, which is reportedly one of his favorite Pokemon.
みなさん、たくさんのお疲れ様メッセージありがとうございました!今年は海外出張やイベントなどもなく静かな1年でしたが、新しい事を考える良い1年でもありました!今年も残りわずかですが、みなさんの年末も楽しい時間になるよう願ってます! pic.twitter.com/poo0S5ofVx

Following the Tweet, some fans began speculating that the image is a hint that remakes of Pokemon Diamond And Pearl are coming next year. It is believed that the Psyduck photo is a reference to a specific moment in Pokemon Diamond And Pearl where the player encounters a group of Psyduck blocking their path:
Notably, this is not the first time Masuda has allegedly hinted at future games via Tweets. Fans also believe that he has hinted at Pokemon Sword And Shield, as well as Pokemon Smile on Twitter long before those titles were officially revealed.
