Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Switch Physical Edition Confirmed, But Downloads Required

Hoping to add the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 to your physical collection? Well, we have some good and bad news for Switch owners.

Konami has confirmed that the game collection containing the first three Metal Gear Solid games and both Metal Gear games will indeed be getting a physical boxed release for Nintendo Switch when it launches on 24 October 2023.

However, this release comes with a huge caveat – as a large download of 24.1 GB will be required to play the games in physical edition, as well  as an additional download of 30 GB to enjoy bonus content.

To enjoy all available content, game data must be downloaded (free).

A microSD card (sold separately) with free storage space of minimum of the amount listed above is required to download this game.
*The total game size and necessary storage requirements listed above are still tentative and will be finalized by September 2023.
*The bonus video content is referring to Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel and Metal Gear Solid 2: Digital Graphic Novel.
