The game’s director Ichinose recently shared another cryptic image to tease at upcoming new additions to the Switch title. At a glance, the teaser likely hints at monsters that take inspiration from the classic “red oni” and “blue oni” in Japanese folklore and myths!

“This is director Ichinose, for the second time today. We will release various information tomorrow, so please look forward to it. I would like to introduce the perfect stage and monsters for this cold season.”
Previously, Ichinose also released teaser images of a Japanese Akugyo and Tengu – which were followed by the official reveal of the Somnacanth and Bishaten monsters in the game! We’ll just have to wait and see what kind of red oni and blue oni players will be fighting with!
Monster Hunter Rise will be hitting Nintendo Switch worldwide on 26 March 2021.
