Nintendo Files Copyright Infringement Lawsuits Against Two Individuals
It looks like Nintendo is far from done when it comes to the world of legal battles.
Nintendo of America has filed two new lawsuits against “Modded Hardware” and “Archbox” – two individuals who are apparently involved in the sale of MIG Switch devices (a brand of flash cart), console mods, services for modding, and more. Reportedly, some of the devices sold also included pirated games installed on them.
In tandem with this, the MIG Switch website also went offline yesterday – seemingly joining the same fate as the Yuzu emulator. It remains to be seen if “Modded Hardware” and “Archbox” will have a hefty price to pay thanks to Nintendo’s legal pursuits.
We’ll report back if we hear more in the future. Stay tuned.
