Nintendo Files Patents For Crank And Wheel Joy-Con 2 Attachments
Nintendo has filed for some new Joy-Con 2 attachment patents.
As highlighted by Nintendo Patents Watch, Nintendo has filed patents for two unannounced attachments for the Joy-con 2. One of them is for a crank attachment like those seen on fishing game controllers, while another is for a clickable wheel resembling one you might find on a computer mouse. Both these attachments take advantage of the Joy-con 2’s new optical sensor in order to work.

While there are many possible ways these attachments could be used for games, Nintendo frequently files patents for products and ideas that ultimately never see the light of day. We will be sure to report back with more updates as they come.
