Yesterday, we reported that Japanese users were receiving a notification for the third Splatfest (Agility vs Endurance), which was scheduled to be held between October 8 to 9.

Nintendo has announced on the official Splatoon Twitter account that some users have received this information by mistake, and that the information is inaccurate. Official information for the next Splatfest will be announced on October 7, 2017.
