Nintendo Switch 2 Banned After Using Flash Card For Piracy
Multiple user reports on Twitter and Reddit suggest that Nintendo has started banning Nintendo Switch 2 users that use a flash card called “MiG Switch” for piracy and homebrew.
The “MiG Switch” is a flash card that is primarily used by pirates to play Nintendo Switch games for free illegally. While it was demonstrated to have worked on Nintendo Switch 2, it appears that those days are over, as Nintendo has started doling out bans to consoles that are caught using it.
An error message (2124-4508) will appear on affected consoles when trying to access the Nintendo eShop and other online services, saying that “the use of online services on this console is currently restricted by Nintendo”.
Nintendo takes a firm stance against piracy, so users are advised not to use tools and accessories that open up doors to piracy on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
