Nintendo Switch 2 Prototype Motherboard And Other Parts Listed On Yahoo Auctions Japan

A mysterious seller has listed several auctions featuring components of Nintendo Switch 2 prototypes on Yahoo Auctions Japan, with bids ranging from 1000 yen (USD7) to 10,000 yen (USD70) at the time of writing.

It is believed to be the first time that these prototype components have ever been listed in Japan. What’s more remarkable is that they were listed ahead of the system’s official launch on June 5, 2025.

Some components listed by the seller include a “factory sample test motherboard V1A”, which appears to be similar to the motherboard that was reverse engineered in China in the last 2 months. “BEE-CPU-01” (BEE is the platform code for Nintendo Switch 2) is inscribed on the motherboard.

Other items listed include a prototype Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller without grips, a Joy-Con 2 shell, and more:

It is unclear how the seller managed to acquire these parts, though it is good to note that they also have a variety of other development and prototype components and units of other Nintendo hardware.
