Nintendo Switch 2 Sold 1.1 Million Units In The US In Its First Three Days

Circana analyst and executive director Mat Piscatella has shared the first sales estimates for Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States.

According to Piscatella, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold over 1.1 million systems from June 5 to June 7, making it the bestselling video game console of all time in the US. The previous holder of this record was the PS4. Sales estimates exclude orders made via My Nintendo Store, so the actual numbers are expected to be far higher.

The analyst also shared that 79% of Nintendo Switch 2 owners owned a copy of Mario Kart World, either through the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World set or as a separate purchase.

Lastly, we have the top three bestselling physical software on Nintendo Switch 2:

  1. Mario Kart World
  2. Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

This piece of news comes just after Famitsu reported on the Nintendo Switch 2’s record-shattering launch in Japan.
