NPD: Top 20 Selling Games Of 2018 & Other Industry Figures In The US
The NPD has released software sales figures for 2018, revealing the heaviest hitters from last year.
While Nintendo had a difficult year competing with Sony’s PS4 line-up, some of its first-party offerings still sold decently well in 2018. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was the 5th-best-selling game, and even Super Mario Party made it onto the list at 19th place.
Additionally, the game industry grew at a healthy pace during 2018 – totaling over $43 billion in revenue! This was a 17% increase up from the same statistics in 2017.
